We Tried Walton Wood Farm's Beauty and Personal Care Products

Ever since my first visit to Canada as a kid, I've had a not-so-secret love for the place. Growing up, I would wear Canucks hats like they were going out of style. Pretty sure they never were in style—but it was my thing, and I loved it. I even attended The University of British Columbia years later.

So when I had the opportunity to try beauty products from Canadian company Walton Wood Farm, I couldn't have been more excited. Walton Wood Farm's range offers a variety of over 80 clean beauty and personal care products for men and women. From lotions and body scrubs to beard oil, they have it all. Everything is made with sustainable ingredients and free from harsh chemicals. Their products are vegan/vegetarian-friendly and cruelty-free. Here are a few of my personal faves:

Beach Babe Sugar Scrub ($21.95)

Let me start by saying that I have the the worst dry skin, especially during the winter. It's itchy, flaky, and oftentimes unbearable. I've always been a big fan of body scrubs, but have a hard time finding the perfect balance between exfoliation and moisture. Walton Wood Farm nailed it with this formula. Made with real cane sugar, shea butter, sunflower oil, and vitamin E, it has just the amount of grit without being too harsh. I use it all over my body in the shower, and my skin feels amazing. It’s definitely a new staple in my shower. It also comes in a variety of scents (the Beach Babe smells divine!)

Week From Hell Hand Rescue ($17.95)

During cold and flu season, I’m bit of a psycho with hand sanitizer. If I could bathe in it, I would. I may be germ- free, but that stuff really wreaks havoc on the skin and is incredibly drying. Hand Rescue to the rescue!  Personally, I have never been a huge fan of hand creams because I always found them to be greasy and uncomfortable. This is the first one that I really like and have been using quite a bit. Made with shea butter and green tea, you can't go wrong. It also comes in portable rescue minis, which are perfect for on-the-go. If you're not a fan of grapefruit, it comes in a variety of scents including my personal favorite, Beach Babe.

shave-on-and-b'ever-balm.jpg

This aftershave balm can be used anywhere on the skin after shaving or waxing. I like to use it on my legs after shaving for extra hydration and shine. With anti-inflammatory properties, it helps prevent bumps and redness. Made with sunflower and coconut oil, this all-purpose salve can be used on any part of the body and works great on extra-dry areas like knees and elbows. I really like the fact that this product is fragrance-free, so it doesn't interfere with with any other products you are using.

All in all, I'm officially a fan of Walton Wood Farm. I look forward to trying and using more of their products. I always appreciate a company with a heart and conscience that cares about their products about their impact on the environment. Plus their mascot, Walton, is super cute.
