Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is home to a series of stunning overwater bungalows.

The ultimate private island paradise located in the heart of French Polynesia, Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is home to luxurious overwater bungalows, villas, and an incredible spa that offers an array of rebalancing rituals featuring indigenous treatments. From a couple’s suite with treatment beds overlooking glass panels above the lagoon to private plunge pools, sensory showers and serene relaxation lounges, guests can unwind and enjoy themselves to the fullest extent in this tropical sanctuary.

Spa Director Stephanie Cherbakow takes us behind-the-scenes of the world-class spa, sharing treatments to try, what to splurge on, and more:

Why You’ll Love It: In terms of amenities, our jacuzzi, steam room and experience shower are quite popular with our guests. The therapy pools (one facing the lagoon and Mount Otemanu, one facing the reef and ocean) are also favorites. In regards to experiences, our newest offering is the Pareo Massage, which has really been become a popular treatment as it's quite unique.

Key Features: We have separate facilities for women and men, with the women's side facing the lagoon and Mount Otemanu, and the men's facing the reef and ocean. Both sides have a jacuzzi, steam room, experience shower and therapy pool. We also offer a co-ed relaxation room, where hot and cold beverages are available, as well as healthy nuts and dried fruits. Each locker area includes a changing area, toilets and shower room.

The Overwater Spa Suite is perched above the lagoon and is the ultimate couple’s suite.

Bonus: The pareo (Tahitian sarong) used in the new Pareo Massage will be offered to the guest at the end of the massage as a souvenir.

Insider’s Tip: I always suggest that guests arrive one hour before their scheduled treatment to start the relaxation in one of our jacuzzis, followed by a steam to prepare the body and muscles for treatment. I also love the enhancement (to any treatment) of our "Mana Connection." Mana means "power" in Tahitian, and the singing bowls really help to deeply relax the body's tensions and pain, allowing more therapeutic work to be performed.

Spa Snacks: We have a selection of infused waters that are different every day, as well as hot teas and coffees (in the fitness center). We also offer a selection of gem water in partnership with VitaJuwel. The relaxation room and fitness center also offer nuts and dried fruits, and guests have the ability to order room service at any time, either before or after their treatment. We set up a dining area in one of our outdoor garden pavilions facing Mount Otemanu.

Unique Treatment: Our most unique treatment is our new Pareo Massage. Created by our highly trained therapists, this deep stretching massage combines oil massage and body stretching using a traditional Tahitian pareo. This delightful experience will elevate your body awareness, leaving a released and relaxed sensation in your body and mind.

Guests can enjoy unobstructed views of Mount Otemanu from a private plunge pool.

Splurge Treatment: I would suggest our Golden Sun Embrace in our Fare Miti Overwater Spa Suite. This exclusive treatment room is a "house over the water" and the guests, while lying down on the treatment bed, can enjoy watching the colorful fish of Bora Bora swim below them (through a glass floor panel). It includes a coconut and gold body scrub, 80-massage of choice with 24k gold Monoï Oil, and a Nano Knesko Gold Mask to hydrate, rejuvenate, and release stress and fatigue.

Insider’s Favorite: My favorite treatment is one of our new facials from Tata Harper. The Award Winning Brightening Face Therapy is the ideal treatment to get glowing skin and uses an innovative blend of multi-hydroxy acids. This ritual instantly reveals a more luminous tone and smooth, even texture.
