Spa Diary: The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis

Guests are greeted by a sleek, modern entryway at the Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis.

No trip to St. Louis is complete without a visit to The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis, which is located along the banks of the Mississippi River in the heart of downtown's entertainment district. It's also just steps away from the city's most famous landmark: the Gateway Arch!

Glass stairs and walls offer floor-to-ceiling views.

The stunning spa is the epitome of modern minimalism, with its glass walls and floor-to-ceiling views of the entire city. The open layout really does a great job at seamlessly blending the inside area to the outdoors, making it feel incredibly spacious and grand.

The women's locker room features luxurious amenities including bathrobes and luxe toiletries.

After changing into a plush robe, I checked out the generous amenities before heading to the lounge area to relax before my treatment.

Spa guests can enjoy a whirlpool or steam room session before beginning their services.

After taking a dip in the whirlpool Jacuzzi, I enjoyed a quick session in the eucalyptus steam room with a refreshing iced towel.

Every corner is thoughtfully designed, reflecting the spa's minimalist yet modern aesthetic.

The spa has many different sitting areas where you can lounge solo or with company while taking in the beautiful views of downtown and the river.

The women's lounge area offers premium views of the Mississippi River.

I enjoyed snacking on mixed nuts and dried fruit, as well as an assortment of herbal teas.

In addition to different massages, the spa menu also offers a variety of body and facial treatments. A few recommendations: Lavender Dreams and the Vitamin C Essence Facial.

For those looking to try a couples' experience, there is a Couple's Spa Suite that has its own private steam room, shower and relaxation space for ultimate solitude.

The spa also has a full-service salon that offers manis and pedis, brow and hair services.

Chilled towels infused with essential oils add a touch of refreshment!

Depending on how much time you have, the spa has curated combinations of treatments for hours of full-body relaxation.

One of the many comfy nooks where spa guests can relax before and after services.

The spa also hosts various specials, including Happy Hour Mondays ($99 for a 50-minute Rejuvenation Facial or Swedish Massage) and Two For Tuesdays (Book a 50-monute or longer spa service and receive the second service for 50 percent off).

The Jacuzzi offers premium views of the St. Louis Arch.

The spa gift shop also carries one of my favorite brands, LALICIOUS, and their products are also used in the Spring Indulgence Massage, which includes a hot stone massage and deeply relaxing hot oil scalp treatment.

An assortment of teas to choose from.

For tea lovers, the spa offers a distinctive tea experience with six different varieties to choose from.

The treatment rooms are named after various essential oils and plants.

As I made my way to my treatment room, I noticed that all of the rooms had fun names like Tea Tree and Jasmine. My service took place in the Aloe Vera room.

One of the relaxing treatment rooms.

I opted for the 80-minute Four Seasons Signature Massage, which is designed to take your senses through all of the four seasons. One of the unique features I especially liked in the treatment room was the chakra lighting on the ceiling, which changed colors over the course of my service for a relaxing effect.

The rooms feature chakra lighting that changes color throughout one's service.

My treatment began with an invigorating foot exfoliation, followed by a thermal back exfoliation and a volcanic heat pack for warmth.

The Four Seasons Signature Massage includes an exfoliating scrub and crystal facial massage.

After a deeply relaxing massage using essential oils, my service concluded with a refreshing facial massage that utilized crystal wands to cool and tone my face.

After treatment, guests are offered their choice of tea and champagne.

Upon the conclusion of my service, I was led back to the lounge area where I was offered my choice of champagne or tea. (Don't feel like you have to choose one—I opted for both!)

Guests can also lounge around the rooftop pool and even order a meal poolside.

After my spa session, I headed to the rooftop swimming pool to bask in the sun and order lunch.  I'm always famished after a good massage! Their menu features a variety of delicious fare and tasty treats, including boozy popsicles that offer respite from the Missouri heat!

Tip: If you a book a full-service treatment Monday through Thursday (excluding holidays), you'll receive access to the pool on the day of your service!

Private luxury cabanas are also available for daily rental.

The hotel also offers fitness memberships, which include access to the 24-hour Fitness Centre and pool, along with other special promotions and benefits. And the views are incredible!

I left feeling completely rejuvenated and relaxed—and was already planning my future visit back to The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis!
