2019 Daytime Beauty Awards Honors Christie Brinkley, Kate Somerville, and More

Stars lined the red carpet and the stage at the second annual Daytime Beauty Awards, which took place on September 20 at the Taglyan Complex in Los Angeles. Founded by Michele Elyzabeth and executive produced by Pamela Price and Otis Stokes, the awards show recognizes the science behind beauty and spotlights health and wellness professionals in the fields of Dentistry, Medicine, Health & Fitness, Aesthetics, Skincare, Color & Styling, Cannabis, Beauty Innovation, and more.

The 2019 Daytime Beauty Awards categories and honorees were as follows:

  • Outstanding Achievement in Health: Christie Brinkley

  • Outstanding Achievement in Skincare: Kate Somerville

  • Outstanding Achievement in Aesthetics: Ivan Pol

  • Outstanding Achievement in Fitness: Sam Asghari

  • Outstanding Achievement in Medicine: Dr. Tess Mauricio

  • Outstanding Achievement in Dentistry: Dr. Rick Glassman

  • Outstanding Achievement in Color & Styling: Ted Gibson & Jason Backe

  • The Zen Award: Tommy Chong

  • The Innovation Award: CIC Beauty

  • The Sleeping Beauty Award: Hästens

  • Brand of the Year: Oxygenetix

  • Special Tribute Award: Christopher Guy

This year’s presenters were Afroman, Patty Bunch, Jack Brinkley Cook, Denis De Souza, Dr. Bill Dorfman, Katherine Kelly Lang, Danielle Lauder, James Maslow, Katharine McPhee Foster, Sophia Pierson, Michelle Stafford, Jessica Vilchis and Danielle Nottingham, and Rachel Zoe.

The event also included a luncheon, which benefitted Helen Woodward Animal Center—a private non-profit organization and no-kill facility in San Diego County that is committed to the philosophy of people helping animals and animals helping people for over 40 years.

The Daytime Beauty Awards is the sister show to the Hollywood Beauty Awards, an annual award show established in 2014 that recognizes the architects of beauty in hair, makeup, photography and styling in Film, TV and music, as well as artists who create celebrity looks for the red carpet.
