Amanera in the Dominican Republic Launches New Spa and Wellness Journeys
Part of the prestigious Aman portfolio, Luxury Dominican Republic beachfront resort Amanera has introduced two new spa and wellness journeys, Atabey Connection and Anichi Healing. Designed to restore balance and secure a sense of belonging through dynamic wellness practices, both experiences celebrate local Taino culture and are aligned with the brand pillars of Aman.
The full-day journeys include accommodations, breakfast and dinner, leisure time, and a variety of workshops and activities ranging from hiking and moonlight yoga to cooking classes and sound healing sessions. Both include bonfire experiences, as well as various spa treatments such as a purifying mud mask, an ancient remedy for legs, and more.

Atabey Connection loosely translates to “Mother Earth” (Atabey is an ancestral mother of the Taino). Available in 3 or 5-night journeys, this is for guests seeking a revitalized connection with nature. Some of the journey’s offerings include:
A Taino Hike: Guests will learn how to identify plants by smell and texture
Arawak Wisdom: An herbal experience making plant-based tinctures
A Purification Mud Mask: Utilizing ancient practices to balance the body’s temperature
Anichi Healing (serving as a Taino symbol for the heart center) is a 3-night journey designed for those seeking introspection, relaxation, and mindfulness. Some of its offerings include:
A Holistic Massage: Aromatherapy-based oil massage to find an intuitive sense of connection
Water Healing: Achieve a deep, relaxed state with purpose and intention behind each sequence
Walk of Silence: Guests will be able to connect with their inner space and Mother Earth
The wellness journeys can be customized and personalized according to the needs and preferences of each guest and will be available for a limited time through 2025. The Atabey Connection is available until March 12, 2025 and the Anichi Healing is available until March 11, 2025.
