Our latest Beauty Boss is Cheree Ashley, Founder of Osier— a clean and cruelty-free vegan skincare brand that is crafted in Korea.
A prominent figure in the substance rehabilitation industry, Ashley successfully overcame addiction and spent many years helping others through their recovery journeys. She was ultimately inspired to launch Osier as a result of the emotional toll that addition takes on people’s physical appearances and confidence.
She wanted to be able to offer an opportunity for healing and new beginnings to others going through various skin issues including rosacea, dehydration, and more. All of Osier’s products are formulated without harsh chemicals or animal-derived ingredients and are ethically made in Korea, reflecting the highest standards in skincare innovation and conscious beauty.
We chatted with Ashley, who shared the inspiration behind the brand, secrets for success, wellness tips, and much more.
When was Osier founded and what does the name mean?
Osier is more than just a skincare brand, it's rooted in purpose. Osier, pronounced Oh-Sair, means willow tree, and willow tree stands for new beginnings.

What inspired the creation of the brand?
It’s been quite the Journey! It all started with my personal recovery in 2012. I found myself completely lost and chained by addiction. I was fortunate enough to find recovery through a program that saved my life. I decided to go to school to become an Addiction Specialist as I had a deep passion for helping others overcome the same struggles I did.
In 2015 I opened my first medication assisted detox program called Bright Future Recovery. Fast forward to today, Bright Future Recovery has expanded into numerous programs across the Central Coast helping thousands of individuals overcome addiction as well as mental health struggles.
In 2023, I decided to take a shift in business and start a passion project in the beauty industry. Through my recovery I have found great love for skin care, which has played a huge role in my personal self worth and confidence. Over the last decade I have seen my clients suffer from the same insecurities when it comes to physical appearance due to the toll substances and toxins take on one's body.
I wanted to create a clean line of products that would be a new beginning for those seeking self care and betterment; whether in recovery or new to skin care, Osier was a good starting point. I've partnered with both U.S. and Korean manufacturers for optimal unique products.
Our first two products are Korean, as I have always loved Korean skin care and their topnotch formulas. We have two amazing vegan, cruelty-free products—our Recovery Ceramide Cream and Brighter Days Vitamin C Serum. Not only are these luxury products that are affordable, they also support a bigger purpose. A percentage of proceeds help support those who are struggling with substance abuse and mental health get the help they deserve and need.

What’s your favorite product from your brand?

Where are your products sold?
On our website, Amazon, Ecosmetics, TikTok shop, and at some local spas and salons.
Future plans for the brand?
We hope to expand our skin line to five SKUs by December 2026. We hope to be in most retail stores across the country. We would love to see the growth contribute to our give back program of helping others. A percentage of proceeds will help scholarship individuals get the professional help they deserve and need for substance abuse and mental health.

Who inspires you?
I feel connected and inspired by other independent women entrepreneurs who turned a vision and a passion into a powerhouse company.
Secret to success?
Don’t let fear scare you, let it inspire you. Anytime something has felt scary, I’ve learned to lean into it. Success doesn’t come easy. Feeling fear is always part of the process, so embrace it.
Beauty secrets?
What goes in your body is just as important as what goes on your body. The saying “Happy girls are the prettiest” is a very valid statement. When you find your purpose in life and find true happiness, you feel and look beautiful.
Wellness tips?
Always take care of yourself. Whether you are a student, a mother, a business owner or working a full-time job, make sure you carve out time for you. It makes other areas of your life much harder if you are not putting yourself as priority. For me it’s 5 a.m. gym time. When the world is still quiet and my kids are asleep, I spend that time working out and sitting in silence in the sauna before starting my day with zero distractions.
Best advice?
Be comfortable in your own skin, your own journey, and your own growth. In a world that often feels like it’s constantly competing or turning against one another, especially with the pressure of social media, learn to find peace in your own path to success and personal development. We’re all in different phases of our journey, and every step forward counts as a win in my book. Striving to grow or improve is a beautiful thing, just don’t tear yourself down in the process.
How do you like to relax?
Lately, I have really enjoyed reading to regroup myself. It brings such a calming peace to my core that I do not know how I didn’t start this a long time ago. I enjoy being home with my family and my animals. A mini-farm is what most refer to my pets as—they truly bring me so much joy!
