Tips for Finding the Best Hair Brush for Your Needs
We chatted with Elmanasterly who shared her favorite beauty and wellness tips, secrets for success, best advice, and much more.
When was Fully Fyne founded and what does the name mean?
Fully Fyne was founded in 2022. The name Fully Fyne captures our mission perfectly. It signifies being "fully fine," emphasizing our unwavering commitment to creating confidence-boosting products tailored specifically to meet the unique needs of fine hair. But it goes beyond that—Fully Fyne is also about creating a community rooted in empowerment. We want to send a powerful message: You are FULLY FYNE. This means embracing your unique beauty, recognizing your worth, and feeling confident just as you are. We are here to support and celebrate your journey towards feeling fully and beautifully yourself.
What inspired the creation of the brand?
The inspiration behind creating Fully Fyne stemmed from a personal experience. It all began when I was diagnosed with mild Seborrheic Dermatitis, which left my hair dry and brittle. My dermatologist recommended using a shampoo with steroids, but I was apprehensive about applying such treatments to my scalp and hair. I disliked how my hair felt brittle, which took a toll on my self-confidence. In my search for alternatives, I tried numerous products, but none seemed to work effectively for me.
This experience led me to a realization: Why couldn't there be a dedicated haircare brand specifically designed for fine hair like mine? I began discussing this idea with fine-haired women, including friends, family, coworkers, and even friends of friends. To my surprise, we all shared similar struggles—the challenge of finding products suitable for our delicate strands and the impact of unrealistic societal beauty standards on our confidence.
These conversations ignited the spark that led to the creation of Fully Fyne. It's not just a brand; it's a community where individuals with fine hair come together to share their stories and challenges. Through Fully Fyne, we aim to empower one another, boost our confidence and provide effective solutions tailored to the unique needs of fine-haired individuals.
Does Fully Fyne have a hero product?
The Fyne Mask. It is a gentle and quick-absorbing hair treatment mask that is enriched with Elula and Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract that work together to smooth and add bounce to fine hair while strengthening weak hair. Making your hair feel and look fuller without weighing it down from roots to ends. The Fyne Mask nourishes for irresistibly soft and smooth fine hair. It also adds volume and bounce, promotes stronger fine hair from roots to ends, and provides weightless, fresh, and fluffy hair bliss.
What are your favorite products from your brand?
The Fyne Mask and Fyne Comb are a perfect pair. After using The Fyne Mask, I always use The Fyne Comb, which has become an essential part of my daily routine. Instead of using a regular plastic comb or brush, I now reach for The Fyne Comb after my shower. It's remarkably gentle on fine hair and I've noticed a significant reduction in breakage since making the switch. These two products complement each other beautifully, providing a comprehensive solution for maintaining healthy and vibrant fine hair.
Where are your products sold?
Our products are sold on our website and Instagram.
Future plans for the brand?
I wouldn’t be able to give everything away right now, but what I can say is Fully Fyne will have more products coming out. Our next two products will be our shampoo and conditioner that will be a game changer for the fine haircare industry. As we grow, we also plan to expand our product lines and get into retail to be more accessible. I already have a lot of exciting products in mind that I cannot wait to put out there in the near future.
As we keep growing, we also plan to get into other countries as well. There’s a lot of exciting things to look forward to. What I can say is, to all fine-haired individuals out there, we are working tirelessly to bring you all the essentials your hair needs. Our goal is to be the go-to brand for all things fine hair to save you the hassle of looking for the right products.
Who inspires you?
I am really inspired by Sarah Blakely, the founder of Spanx, which is a hugely successful undergarment and apparel brand. Her innovative thinking and determination turned Spanx into a global brand that is sold in over 65 countries. Her journey shows the power of solving real-life problems and perseverance, making her an inspiration to entrepreneurs worldwide.
Secret to success?
I would say patience and consistency. Patience allows you to stay focused on your long-term goals, understanding that success doesn't happen overnight. Consistency ensures that you steadily work toward those goals, day by day, forming habits that lead to achievement. Also, I know this might sound cliché but you should truly “Never give up.” Never give up on your main goal, even if you have to change how you get there. These principles help turn your dreams into reality.
Beauty secrets?
The true beauty secret is that it comes from within. It’s not just about external looks, but about kindness, confidence, and authenticity. Brands and individuals should emphasize this more because real beauty shines when we treat ourselves and others with care, respect, and love. Beauty is a reflection of the goodness in our hearts and how we make others feel, far beyond physical appearances.
Wellness tips?
In my opinion, taking care of your mental health is essential for overall wellness. While it's okay to take breaks when needed, it's even better to maintain a balanced routine to prevent burnout. Remember that self-care is not selfish; it enables you to handle life's challenges effectively.
Best advice?
The best advice in my opinion is that the people you surround yourself with is everything. They can either uplift and inspire you or hold you back. Building a supportive community is crucial for your well-being and growth. Positive, uplifting individuals can make a significant difference in your life journey, providing encouragement and strength when needed most. Ultimately, the quality of our relationships often defines the quality of our lives.
Favorite way to relax?
I enjoy simple things like a good skincare and haircare routine, reading a good book, enjoying my morning coffee, and working out. Spending time with loved ones is also a great way for me to relax. It’s all about finding what makes you feel good and taking time for yourself.
