We chatted with Rancic, who shared how her eco-luxe beauty line came to be, her daily skin care routine, and more:
What inspired the creation of Fountain of Truth?
In my mid-30s, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and no one could explain how I got it. I decided to take control of what I could actually control in my life—and that was what I put both in and on my body. I started making clean beauty concoctions at home, but even though I felt safe using these recipes, they weren’t helping with any of my skin concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, etc.
When I sought out clean products that were also high-performance, they were very expensive. I didn’t want to pay hundreds of dollars for a jar of something, so I set out to create a safe skin care line that utilized advanced technology, had beautiful packaging, and cost under $100. That’s how Fountain of Truth came to be. The name was actually the first idea I had when I was first thinking about this creation: it encompassed exactly what I was trying to achieve—a clean and truthful anti-aging skin care line.
How long has the brand been around?
Fountain of Truth officially launched in October 2018.
Tell us more about your line. Do you have a hero product?
Our hero product, which is our bestseller since launching, is The Truth Insta-Face Lift Elixir. I use it morning and night, and it helps with tightening skin, improves skin texture, and smooths out fine lines and wrinkles. It has Spilanthes Acmella Flower extract, which helps with smoothness and tightening—I use it on my fine lines before going out to dinner or an event. It also has black cumin seed oil, which is rich with essential fatty acids, vitamins and amino acids, to help create a look of plumpness. Your skin will look more radiant over time using this product. It’s my all-time must-have.
What’s your favorite product from FOT?
I am loving the Magic Wand Sculpting Eye Roller, which just launched this month. It has a dual ball applicator which helps with micro-circulation and is great for fine lines, crow’s feet, puffy eyes, and dark circles. It has caffeine, green tea, and pomegranate extracts to help with puffiness and dark circles as well. The dual ball roller is cool to the touch, which is great for those mornings when your under-eye area needs some extra love.

Who inspires you?
My parents, Anna and Eduardo DePandi, are my biggest inspirations. They both sacrificed so much when they moved our family to America from Italy when I was a little girl. My mom is 76 and my dad is 81, and they still get up and go to work at their store every single morning. They have worked so hard their entire lives and as a result, are living the American dream. Everything I learned about hard work and dedication, I learned from them. My husband Bill and I hope we are teaching our son Duke those same lessons about the value of a strong work ethic.
Secret to success?
As I said above, hard work and dedication are the secrets to success. I started out at the bottom in the mailroom at a talent agency and worked my way up from there. It didn’t come easily, but I worked really hard and I still do. When I’m passionate about a project, I work very hard to make it the best that it can be, which is why Fountain of Truth took years to create. I was dedicated to making it the best clean, high-performance skin care line possible.
Beauty secrets?
I have been using the Fountain of Truth skin care line for the past year and it has completely transformed my skin in the best way possible. I have fewer lines from using it, and my skin has never been so hydrated and dewy.
Every morning, I wash my face with the Take It Off Cleansing Balm and follow that with our new product, the Skin Nutrition Kit, which comes with three boosters that help with redness, hydration, and brightness. I then use a pump or two of The TRUTH Insta-Face Lift Elixir and the Good Day Soufflé Hydrating Moisturizer with SPF 15.
At night, I do a double cleanse using the balm, as well as the Fresh Face Foaming Cleanser, to wash off my makeup. Then I love to indulge in the Honey Glow Mask a few days a week, followed by The TRUTH Insta-Face Lift Elixir.
Lastly, I never forget to slather on a thick layer of the Dream Cream Overnight Repair Mask. It’s so hydrating and I wake up with dewy, glowing skin—it’s incredible! I also always have my Youth in Hand Cream in my bag. We purposely made it three ounces so you can travel with it and not worry about having it in your bag when you go through security at the airport. Love that!
Best advice?
My philosophy on life, beauty, and wellness is to not put pressure on myself and do the best I can.
How do you like to relax?
I love to take 30-45 minute walks at least once a week to decompress and relax. It’s a way for me to gather my thoughts and have some “me” time.
