When was Goldthread Tonics founded and what does the name mean?
Goldthread Tonics was founded in 2015 with the vision of creating high-quality, plant-based tonics to support holistic wellness. The name "Goldthread" was inspired by a medicinal herb known as Coptis chinensis, which has been used for centuries in traditional Chinese medicine for its therapeutic properties. The goldthread plant is known for its bright yellow roots, which resemble threads of gold, hence the name. In traditional herbalism, goldthread is prized for its bitter taste and potent medicinal properties, particularly its ability to support digestion and overall health.
We chose the name Goldthread for our brand to symbolize the essence of botanical medicine and the transformative power of plants. Our mission is to harness the healing potential of nature's bounty and share it with the world through our line of tonics and herbal remedies.
