One of the most unique spas in Sonoma, located a few miles away from the coast on the Bohemian Highway, is Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary, offering massage and facials in a relaxing setting featuring a Zen meditation garden with bamboo, koi ponds and waterfalls.
What Osmosis is most known for, however, is its Cedar Enzyme Bath, a fermentation bathing ritual that hails from Japan designed to stimulate metabolic activity inside and out. After changing into a Japanese robe, the treatment begins with a diuretic herbal enzyme tea served in a private viewing garden.
Then, guests enter a wooden tub filled with finely ground evergreens and rice bran, enveloped in warmth generated by biological fermentation. After exiting the bath and showering, a refreshing electrolyte drink endsthe treatment. Complementing the experience, guests may book a Metamusic Sound Healing session enjoyed in the resting room or an outdoor hammock.
