Every year during the month of June, the LGBTQ community across the United States puts on a variety of different Pride events including parades, concerts, community events, and festivals to recognize the impact that LGBTQ people have had around the world. In addition to being a month-long celebration, Pride month also helps to raise awareness of issues that the LGBTQ community currently faces.

While Aspen has been a growing destination for LGBTQ+ residents and travelers for the past few decades, the city is making history by launching its first month of Pride events throughout June spearheaded by W Aspen in support of AspenOut, the local nonprofit dedicated to promoting tolerance and understanding for the LGBTQ+ community.

Perfectly situated at the base of Aspen mountain, W Aspen has been the destination for Aspen Gay Ski Week since the property first opened in 2019. As a sponsor of the event and partner with AspenOut, the W prides itself on its inclusive environment in one of the most beautiful and natural cities in the nation. Some ways rthat W Aspen is supporting and celebrating the LGBTQ+ community include:

  • Thursday Cocktails: Every Thursday in June, proceeds from cocktail purchases at W Aspen will be donated to AspenOut.

  • Chef’s Dinner with Celebrity Chef Will Coleman: On June 29, Chef Will Coleman will host an intimate dinner at a W Aspen Residence to raise funds for AspenOut. This “Dinner and a Conversation” will share Coleman’s unique story as a black, queer chef as told through his passion for food and cocktails.

  • Wellness Events: Throughout the month of June, W Aspen will host public and private events on their WETdeck rooftop pool area, including morning yoga sessions, stretching and meditation classes, sound baths, and other mindfulness programs. All proceeds support AspenOut.

In honor of Pride, we’ve also rounded up various rainbow-themed products ranging from shoes and skin care to makeup palettes, and more. Many brands are also donating a portion of their proceeds during the month of June to various LGBTQ+-related organizations. Read on to discover, shop, and show your support for Pride Month:
