What do guests love most about your Healing Arts Journey?
We get consistent feedback that guests appreciate the uniqueness of our offerings, and that the quality of our practitioners stands out. We offer experiences not commonly found in a luxury market and are very connected to the local healers in our Santa Fe community, which makes our program so special.
Tell us more about the Healing Arts Journey and its offerings.
Our Healing Arts consists of a curated menu of services designed to treat the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual elements of human nature. The essence of healing arts allows guests to immerse in new modalities, express their creativity, and exercise mindfulness in the present moment, thereby improving their overall well-being.
Our spa concierge team is prepared to guide guests through their wellness itinerary based on their needs. There are so many ways to heal and so many things we need healing from that no two journeys are the same. Many of our guests will incorporate wellness treatments every day during their week in Santa Fe, allowing time to integrate their work and explore the cultural mecca of Santa Fe.
Others request a full day dedicated to healing, starting with a morning qigong session in our fitness center, heading to the spa for an Alpine Arnica Recovery Massage, and experiencing a Custom Contouring Facial using the world-renowned Biologique Recherche skincare line.
After lunch, they could Journey into Shamanism, learning how to practice shamanism in their daily routines when they head back to their daily grind. Perhaps they will round out the day with our Music as Medicine sound bath, featuring WalkingStar on the native flutes and world instruments.
What wellness classes are offered?
We offer complimentary yoga, guided meditations, and scented salts throughout the week. For those not familiar, scented salts is a bath salt blending class incorporating essential oil blends and botanical additions.
Can you share a special bonus of the Healing Arts Journey?
Due to the smaller nature of our operation, we have more time to make a real connection with our guests and get to know them. Our experience is far from the typical transactional feel of larger resorts or spas. We also have a beautiful local tea selection from Tea-o-graphy.
Insider’s tip for those who want to get the most out of the Healing Arts Journey?
Ask yourself what the intention of your visit is. Often, we will ask our guests what they look to work toward while staying with us. This catches people off guard. If you don’t know the intention or purpose, we can help you uncover the answer.
What amenities does Stream Dance Spa have?
Our spa is unique as it is housed in a beautifully converted casita, creating an intimate and inviting atmosphere. We offer a private infrared sauna for our guests. The benefits of infrared have proven quite exceptional. We have exciting plans underway to unveil an expansive new spa and wellness space within the next year or two. This expansion will introduce additional luxurious amenities, including wet elements and locker room facilities.
Does the spa serve any refreshments?
Collagen teas and chocolate mendiants with pepitas and candied ginger are some treats available to guests.
Which product lines are featured at the spa?
Biologique Recherche.
What luxurious splurge spa treatment do you recommend?
Our Stress Relief Massage is a wonderful aromatherapy-style relaxation massage that includes a Manuka honey facial cleanse and whipped honey oil. It’s perfect for those acclimating to our dry climate in New Mexico.
What’s the most unique spa treatment on the menu?
Bio-Radiance Facial Acupuncture would stand out as something I can’t say I’ve seen anywhere else. The face is a microsystem, and just as in reflexology, you can enhance the energy flow through the body’s organs to improve their health and wellness, which radiates the healthy glow expressed in the face and the body’s energetic field.
The points used on the face are profound spiritual points that lift the spirit and skin and brighten the eyes (the windows to the soul) while toning the skin, generating cellular repair, and increasing collagen production. This treatment is excellent for rejuvenating all skin types, including aging skin—giving it a fresh, healthy, lifted vibrancy and radiant glow both physically and energetically.
This treatment works from the inside-out and outside-in, addressing both internal organ health and its associated external healthy expression.
What’s your favorite spa treatment on the menu?
The Serene Essence is our signature relaxation style of massage. It’s based on the Abhyanga massage from Ayurvedic tradition. This service uses lots of oil as well as Kansa tools with a rhythmic flow to soothe the nervous system. The oils are selected based on your dosha or body constitution.
We chose to honor Ayurveda on the menu, as New Mexico was home to the first school in America to bring Ayurvedic wisdom to the West. The foot massage using the Kansa bowl is like nothing I’ve personally experienced before. I’ve never been able to remain fully conscious through this part of the massage, no matter how hard I try to hang on.
