Whether you’re suffering from chronic aches and pains, pinched nerves, sinus/allergies, or you want to keep wrinkles and fine lines at bay, Miracle Wands can help. Recently, I visited the Miracle Wands Wellness Center in Huntington Beach, California to experience the new and innovative treatment for myself—and as it turns out, I really needed it.

Miracle Wands is a set of all-natural, thermo-therapeutic healing tools made from mineral-rich composite quartz stone that is responsibly mined in Queensland, Australia. Combined with special massage techniques performed by Lyndy Ngu (Miracle Wands founder, inventor, and massage therapist), the unique treatment offers multiple natural healing properties.

“I have always been passionate about Ayurvedic and holistic healing,” says Ngu. “I’ve dedicated many years to researching various heat-retaining stones in Australia. After earning my Massage and Occupational Therapy licenses, I developed Miracle Wands as the ultimate natural tool to not only mitigate pain but help treat its root cause.”

By delivering targeted thermotherapy, Miracle Wands produce a soothing heat that reduces inflammation, increases circulation, and supports long-term healing, which makes it a great natural solution for various health issues, and a much safer and better alternative to surgery and other invasive procedures. It is also used to treat the following:

  • Back, neck, shoulder, knee, elbow and joint pain

  • Sinus issues and allergies

  • Arthritis pain and symptoms

  • Migraines and headaches

  • Tinnitus

  • Wrinkles, under-eye bags, and fine lines

  • Improve skin tone and scar management

Upon checking in at Miracle Wands Wellness Center, I was given a tour of the 11-room facility, which is very spacious and welcoming. In addition to multiple treatment rooms, there is a kids’ room for younger patients. I learned that Ngu treats a lot of children for various issues, including those with down syndrome, and it has worked wonders for countless individuals.

I received my service in the VIP Room, which is a beautifully decorated corner unit with comfortable seating and a treatment area. Ngu also treats a lot of celebrities and other major figures, so when she isn’t going on location to give them a Miracle Wands treatment, many come to her and enjoy the relaxed and private setting in the VIP Room.

Prior to my treatment, Ngu did a consultation with me, which is something that she and her team members do with every guest. She asked me what my areas of concern were and what was bothering me, and in my case, my right hand is always tight and sore from all of the writing/typing that I do. I’d also been experiencing a slight clicking sound on the right side of my jaw—TMJ (temporomandibular joint disorders) runs in my family—and when I mentioned this to Ngu, she said those were both issues that she can treat, which made my day.

She did point out that while she could treat the various issues I was having, they couldn’t necessarily be resolved with one appointment. Every patient and case is different, but Ngu said that typically after several visits, many of her patients’ issues often completely resolve—and even after just one visit, they notice an improvement. Ngu also mentioned that with regular use of Miracle Wands on herself, she hasn’t had any health problems in many years!

I lied down in the treatment chair and watched Ngu get to work. She had a set of four Miracle Wands (which are lipstick-sized quartz wands) and used them rotationally in sets of two. In-between each set, she would dip them into a machine that cleaned and heated them—in addition, the same wands are not used on multiple customers. Each person gets his or her own set of wands, which are then kept for them at the office whenever they come in for a treatment. There is also the option to purchase the wands, for those want to take them home and practice the treatments on themself for maintenance.

Ngu started out by firmly rolling the ends of the Miracle Wands up and down the sides of my nose multiple times (to help improve my breathing), followed by my under-eye area (to treat bags and circles), and my forehead (for fine lines). She then proceeded to work on my jaw area, and as she moved the wand across the surface of my skin, there was a noticeable difference between my right and left sides.

My right side (where i was having the issue), felt more “stuck.” Ngu explained to me that over time, calcium deposits build up throughout the body, which causes discomfort, pain, and inflammation. Using the heated Miracle Wands on them helps to push them out of the areas they have built up in, and then they dissolve, resulting in more relief and less pain. After spending a considerable amount of time on my jaw, she moved to my neck and ear area, followed by my right hand and arm—but it didn’t stop there.

Ngu explained that the tight muscles and buildup in my right shoulder blade area was causing nerve compression, which was thereby affecting my right hand and arm. In order to completely treat an issue, one must not just treat the area where discomfort is felt—they must also target the place where the pain is originating from. I could hear a lot of crunching sounds coming from my shoulder area as she worked on it with the Miracle Wands, but afterwards I felt a tremendous sense of relief, especially in my right hand and arm.

The treatment was very thorough and the Miracle Wands actually felt quite good. There were moments of discomfort, which is to be expected when you’re treating areas of the body that are inflamed (like when your massage therapist is trying to get those knots out during a deep tissue massage), but when Ngu treated areas like my hand and arm, it was what I would describe as a “hurts so good” kind of feeling. The harder she pressed the tight areas with the Miracle Wand, the better it felt.

After my session, which was roughly an hour (treatment time can be less or more, depending on what areas and how many you are having treated), I felt a lot looser and more relaxed. My hand felt like new and I had more range of movement with it, including my fingers. My jaw area felt a little sore, but I knew good work had been done today and I am planning to schedule a follow-up appointment after the holidays so that I can continue to see improved results.

Even as I write this article a week post-treatment, I have already seen such a wonderful improvement after just one session, and I haven’t found myself massaging my hand and arm the way I would frequently do prior to seeing Ngu. I’m grateful to have found relief for my discomfort, and I know that others can too if they should decide to give Miracle Wands a try.

The cost for a Miracle Wands treatment starts between $65-$95 and upwards, depending on the areas treated. For more information and to schedule a treatment, visit their website or call 714-839-6066. Follow them on Instagram: @miraclewands
