Kerry Washington Returns as OPI Brand Ambassador

Premier nail care brand OPI turns 40 this year and is doing something extra special to celebrate their big anniversary. Actress, producer, director, and activist Kerry Washington is returning to serve as brand ambassador and throughout 2021, OPI will spotlight 40 of the brand's most iconic shades—including "We the Female," a commanding red nail lacquer that Washington co-created.
Washington previously served as first-ever Creative Ambassador back in 2016 and collaborated with OPI co-founder Suzi Weiss-Fischmann to create the "Washington D.C." collection—a series of 12 stunning nail polish shades inspired by her hit ABC TV series, “Scandal.” She is a Primetime Emmy® Award winner and Emmy®- and Golden Globe®- nominee who has been honored five times with the NAACP Image Award. In 2014, she was named one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People and is one of the co-founders of TIME's UP.

Weiss-Fischmann and George Schaeffer realized dentures and artificial nail extensions shared a similar chemistry, ultimately creating the OPI Traditional Acrylic System.
