Moroccanoil Launches New Professional Online Education for Hairstylists Around the World
As a leading creative and education-driven brand, Moroccanoil is constantly finding new ways to support and further the careers of the hairstylist community—particularly during this global pandemic that has impacted the entire beauty industry. They have just launched Moroccanoil Professionals Online Education, which will start to roll out on Wednesday, October 21 and will feature comprehensive programming that consists of hands-on, customized educations and a competitive range of courses to empower stylists in this virtual landscape. Opportunities include digital subscriptions, à la carte classes, all-day Livestream Summits, and livestream education from Moroccanoil’s team of Global Educators.
This year alone, Moroccanoil has seen significant digital and social media growth with a 65% increase in users on their website for professionals. Back in March at the onset of COVID-19, the brand pivoted to offer livestream classes, Facebook and Instagram Lives, business seminars, and eight-hour artistry and business summits.
Moroccanoil Hosts First-Ever Artistry Summit Livestream
“The stylist community has been a key contributor to the success of Moroccanoil from the very beginning,” says Moroccanoil Co-Founder Carmen Tal. “During this time, when attending in-person Moroccanoil Academy workshops is more difficult, this online forum allows us to further our commitment to the stylist community by providing them with new forms of elevated education. We are proud to launch this additional platform and expand the reach of Moroccanoil education, continuing to inspire the next generation of professional stylists.”
All courses offered by Moroccanoil Professionals Online Education will be led by members of the Moroccanoil Global Education Team, including Moroccanoil Artistic Director Kevin Hughes and Moroccanoil Global Creative Ambassador Antonio Corral Calero. The courses will cover everything from textured bobs and split-level cuts to merchandising and business strategies, and more.
Annual memberships are priced at $99.99 per year (non-refundable) or $14.99 per month and include access to a rolling catalog of online classes and other benefits:
Two new artistry classes per month, with step-by-step technique breakdowns
One new business class per month, with efficient ways to increase revenue in the salon
25% off Academy tickets
25% off all-day Livestream Summits
A digital workbook
Surprise live video classes from global educators around the world
Stylist gift bag featuring essential Moroccanoil haircare and styling products valued at more than $200 (Annual Membership Only)
Additional online offerings include à la carte classes for $14.99 per session, and all-day Livestream Summits hosted quarterly, with both general admission and VIP tickets available. In addition to the new Moroccanoil Professionals Online Education platform, Moroccanoil will continue offering free virtual classes via Instagram Live and is looking forward to safely re-opening the Moroccanoil Academy in New York City at a limited capacity closer to the end of 2020.
The new subscription program will start to roll out on October 21 and stylists can register immediately on the website for online education courses. Classes at the Moroccanoil Academy range from 1-day to 3-day workshops ($400–$2,000) and offer a truly immersive experience, complete with the use of Moroccanoil products and styling tools, firsthand demos, real-time interaction with instructors, and smaller student-to-teacher ratios.
“As we navigate these times alongside our professional stylist family, I am thrilled to see the Moroccanoil commitment to our community come to life through the launch of Moroccanoil Professionals Online Education,” adds Moroccanoil Vice President of Global Education Robert Ham. “These new offerings provide customized levels of engagement and specialized learning capabilities through the Moroccanoil Academy, as well as comprehensive and programmatic curriculum in the field (both in-person and online), strong trade partnerships, and a significant digital presence. We are thrilled to continue honoring our partnership with the professional community through the launch of this program.”
