Spa Review: Oil + Cream Offers Massages and Facials at The Bloc in Downtown Los Angeles
Head to The Bloc in downtown Los Angeles for a variety of dining and shopping options. New to the outdoor complex situated in the heart of DTLA is Oil + Cream, an urban spa that offers a variety of massages and facials.
The Best Spas in Downtown Los Angeles
Oil + Cream is housed in 1,366 square feet of space with six rooms including two that offer couples’ services. I stopped by for a facial, where the estheticians personalize treatments to each guest’s unique skin type and concerns.
My treatment included a skin cleanse, exfoliation, microdermabrasion, minor extractions, a cooling mask, an LED light with hydrating jelly mask, ice therapy, serums, and a facial massage.

My treatment room looked out over downtown, but inside it was serene and peaceful with an off-white color scheme and green graphic artwork. The spa also includes couples and single massage rooms.
If you join Oil + Cream’s membership plan, you can receive a 30-minute facial for $60 (regular pricing is $90) and a 60-minute facial for $100 (normal pricing is $150).

I stopped into The District for a quick lunch before my treatment and enjoyed a delicious clam chowder and lunchtime hamburger with a salad.

Another great feature of The Bloc is their Alamo Drafthouse Cinema, where guests can enjoy a movie with dinner and drinks. The Bloc is located in LA’s iconic 7th Street corridor across from the 7th Street Metro Center Station. It also houses the Sheraton Grand LA Hotel.
