Danny Jensen, who is the managing editor of food site Cheapism and has published several books about the City of Angeles including 100 Things to Do in Los Angeles Before You Die, recently published his third book, Unique Eateries and Eateries of Los Angeles, which takes readers on a deep dive of the city’s restaurants, historic diners and delis, and food halls, where they’ll learn more about the interesting stories and fascinating people behind the unique eateries.

Book highlights include Tam O’Shanter, the steakhouse that was frequented regularly by Walt Disney; the Original Farmers Market, open since 1934 and home to more than 90 vendors; Musso and Frank Grill, Hollywood’s oldest restaurant that served everyone from Marilyn Monroe to Charlie Chaplin; charming Fair Oaks Pharmacy in Pasadena known for its house made sodas since 1915; and the Fountain Coffee Room at the Beverly Hills Hotel; among others.

Jensen is currently on a book tour around Los Angeles and will be doing presentations and signings at various locations through Sept. 16.
