Five of the spa’s signature treatments have been reimagined using the house made herbal salves, butter, and blended oils, all of which draw inspiration from the British hedgerows and the indigenous flora that can be found within them.

The core collection will be available and used all year round, and will be complimented by additional season products introduced throughout the year delivered through compresses, scrubs, and foot baths, and summer additions including ingredients like wild rose, lime blossom elder, and chamomile.

 Current signature treatments include:

  • Agua Advanced Bodywork: A customized therapeutic treatment focusing on pain relief, deep tissue or sports therapy using a warming salve of Comfrey, St John’s Wort, Peppermint and Rosemary.

  • Bust Blossom: A bespoke bust massage using HEDGEROW by agua’s Marigold, Rosehip and Lemon Balm remedies to release tension in the spine and shoulder girdle.

Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort has also announced a new spa concept called Mōhalu by Spa Grande. Inspired by the 12th day in the Hawaiian Moon calendar, known to be an ideal time to plant flowers as it was believed the flowers would be perfectly round like the moon on this night, Mōhalu means to relax, or slowly unfold—just as the flowers do as they begin to open. Mōhalu is now open and available to guests and visitors for appointments.

Spa Profile: Spa Grande at Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort

Mōhalu by Spa Grande is a new intimate spa experience and personal escape inspired by the same Spa Grande heritage and traditions. Launched as a direct result of guest demand for a full range of treatments in a more private individualized setting, this new chapter in the Spa Grande story will feature 19 private treatment suites with partial garden or ocean views, and will offer a range of packages and services while Spa Grande prepares to undergo a future renovation.

The current spa menu includes:

  • Signature Treatments, including Ho’omalie–a healing treatment blending rhythmic lomi lomi and pohaku (warm stone) massage to induce deep relaxation and reduce tension. An infusion of mango butter, cocoa butter, and island essences are melted into the skin, leaving it soft and nourished. A purifying volcanic pumice foot scrub and hydrating coconut scalp massage top off this serene experience.

  • Spa Packages, including the Hawaiian Healing Escape–a half day transformative healing experience to connect you to the healing mana (energy) of Hawaii. This healing experience includes the signature Ho’omalie treatment, along with a collagen-producing facial that uses O’o Hawaii’s clinical grade formulas and superfoods to brighten the skin, and a rose quartz Gua Sha massage of the face and neck to increase lymphatic drainage and visibly tone the skin.
