While the practice of multitasking may seem contradictory to the raison d'etre for spas, Nicole Morrissey has mastered it beautifully, from creating distinctive environments to selecting and overseeing teams of spa practitioners who intuitively grasp the needs of the clientele.
She serves as the Area Director of Spa and Wellness for two very different wellness spaces within two Noble House Hotels & Resorts properties in Naples, Florida.
The Spa on Fifth at Inn on Fifth is a cozy, intimate urban retreat ideal for guests on business trips and "city break" trips also including shopping, culture, and dining. While it may seem minimalist at first glance, Morrissey and her team pack a lot of creativity and care into the small space within the boutique property, which has a crisp art gallery-meets-trendy hangout vibe.
LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort's 4,500-square-foot SpaTerre, meanwhile, is an escape within an escape—a beach house setting neatly tucked into a good-sized beach resort that celebrates and compliments the overall resort's surf-and-sand setting, sea-to-table inspired fare at its BALEEN restaurant, cool and calming color palette, and the relaxed but focused approach taken by the team there.

While the spa menu at Spa on Fifth is compact but customizable, SpaTerre’s menu combines traditional spa therapies with restorative rituals inspired by global practices while allowing for personalization based on therapists' recommendations and personal preferences.
The contrasts between each place notwithstanding, the common thread that ties them together is Morrissey's belief that an immersive, restorative spa day begins long before a guest enters a treatment room. “Whether a guest arrives at SpaTerre or Spa on Fifth, we want their shoulders to drop. We want her (or him) to relax and feel welcome,” she says.
At both spas, guests will complete a consultation, enjoy decompressing in the relaxation area, and take in a cup of tea, water, or fruit (or champagne when available in the case of SpaTerre) are available while they wait for their therapist after changing into a plush robe and prepare to be enlightened...their way.
“We offer luxurious massages and facials at both placecs, but also like to educate on sleep quality, stress reset, circulation, detoxification, and mindful rituals,” Morressey says. “We want guests to see wellness not as an indulgence but as an essential. We want guests at both spas to come away from their treatments feeling restored, centered, and feeling better.”

Snacks Served: At both spas, we offer infused water, herbal tea, and fresh fruit to keep hydrated and refreshed.
Spa Exclusives: A hidden gem at SpaTerre is our signature sea-inspired wellness journey. It includes a Japanese ritual bath, a warm water experience enhanced with flowers and essential oils. Guests begin or conclude their treatment here by relaxing in the bath and breathing in the aromatherapy while preparing both mind and body for the service that follows.
Another highlight is the infrared sauna, available in a private room for individual use or for a couple’s experience. The heat promotes circulation and supports muscle recovery, making it particularly appealing after exercise or time spent outdoors.

Insider’s Tips: Arrive 30 minutes before your Spa on Fifth or SpaTerre treatment to enjoy each spa’s amenities to prepare the body for treatment while warming and softening muscles, boosting circulation, and enhancing relaxation. Doing this makes the service more effective and comfortable.
If you are at La Playa, schedule your treatment in the morning and enjoy time at the beach before or after your service. Pairing a body treatment with a massage helps guests fully unwind while making the most of the resort’s beautiful beachfront setting.

Unique Treatments: The most unique spa treatment at SpaTerre is Balinese Massage. This signature massage ritual, based on the traditions of Bali, brings together acupressure, rolling techniques, and rhythmic strokes relieves tension and promotes total relaxation. Includes your choice of exotic Indonesian massage oils.
We also offer the Javanese Royal Treatment, which we offer to solo guests and couples. It includes a luxurious Balinese massage, essential oil and herbal exfoliation, and a cool yogurt splash shower. Then sink into a traditional soaking tub prepared with flower petals and infused with tropical fragrances, as you relax and unwind while enjoying a delicious cup of herbal tea.

Insider Favorites: My personal favorite Spa on Fifth treatment is our Soothing Phyto Corrector Facial using SkinCeuticals products. As I have very sensitive skin, it’s my favorite treatment as it improves the appearance of visible redness, discoloration, and signs of aging while providing hydration to the skin. It is soothing and suitable for sensitive, sun-drenched, and redness prone skin. The Phyto corrector helps lower the skin's surface temperature upon application and is ideal to calm the skin and reduce redness.
I find Spa Terre’s Tropical Essence Scrub, meanwhile, as a mood-lifting personal favorite. This 80-minute experience begins with a full-body tropical exfoliation using our signature mango body scrub, followed by a deeply nourishing application of aromatic mango body butter and a relaxing back massage. It also includes a full-body massage.

Splurge Treatments: The Rejuvenation Package is the Spa on Fifth’s most splurge-worthy offering. Here, you can restore your glow with this rejuvenation journey, starting with a full-body aromatherapy salt scrub to awaken circulation and soften the skin, followed by a 50-minute relaxation massage to melt tension and a 50-minute personalized facial to leave your complexion radiant and refreshed.
I would describe the Intensive Cleansing Salt Scrub at SpaTerre, meanwhile, as a full-body awakening. The exfoliating and aromatic treatment integrates Elemis Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow Body Scrub and sea salt that gently removes dead, dull, dry skin. At the end, it reveals smoother and more radiant skin with a deeply hydrating application of body oil infused with lush Frangipani for nourished glowing skin.
