Spa Profile: St. Somewhere Spa at Margaritaville, Palm Springs

LOBBY-FINAL.jpg

Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs is a relaxing oasis located in the heart of Palm Springs, California, and is the first Margaritaville resort to open on the West Coast. The family-friendly resort combines the relaxed, mid-century Palm Springs aesthetic with Margaritaville’s timeless tropical feel. (Previously, this property was the The Riviera, which opened in the 1950s and was a hangout for Rat Pack legends like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.)

The property features 398 rooms with panoramic views of the San Jacinto Mountains or resort grounds from private terraces and patios. Guests will also enjoy six Margaritaville-inspired dining options with outdoor seating.

Palm Springs Spa Guide: What’s Open Now

Those looking for a relaxed, always-happy-hour vibe can visit the Lone Palm Bar: a flip-flop friendly, pool-side tiki bar, enjoy live music at the 5 o’Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill, or sip on signature beverages at the License to Chill Bar. The 10,000-square-foot St. Somewhere Spa offers relaxing massages, facials, and salon services. We chatted with Theron Puccinelli, Spa Director at Margaritaville Resort Palm Springs, to learn more about the spa amenities, treatments to try, and more.

Why You’ll Love It:

The guests truly love that we are a full-service spa and salon as we offer a variety of massages, facials, body treatments, tanning services, hair and nail services, as well as makeup application. Due to our overall size, we are able to host large groups having treatments done at the same time.

Key Features:

There are18 treatment rooms with two duet rooms and a separate full-service salon. There are also men’s and women's locker rooms with individual steam rooms. We have a large indoor relaxation lounge with a jacuzzi and waterfall pool. There is also a private couples steam room, as well as private showers and bathtubs in six of our treatment rooms to accommodate a variety of body treatments.

What’s Available Now:

At this time, we are only offering massage services. We expect to expand service offerings next month. Each therapist wears a face shield and face mask during treatments. Each client must also wear a face mask and the entire room is disinfected between treatments. Our locker rooms, as well as the relaxation lounge, are all closed at this time due to the State of California’s mandate.

Bonus:

Guests are welcome to use the spa and our large outdoor pool for the entire day of their treatment.

Spa Snacks:

Typically, we serve fruit and an assortment of beverages when the relaxation lounge is open. Poolside and outdoor dining are currently available at the resort.

Insider’s Favorite:

My personal favorite is the Desert Sage Experience—a full-body scrub incorporating indigenous ingredients followed by a 60-minute therapeutic massage. It’s very relaxing and a truly rejuvenating experience.

Most Luxurious Treatment:

Definitely the Intraceuticals Oxygen Facial from Australia!

Wellness Offerings:

We offer yoga on Saturday mornings at the resort.

Featured products:

Pino, Hydropeptide, Tara Spa Therapy, Intraceuticals, Skin Authority, Kerstin Florian, EmerginC, and Phia are our main product lines at this time.
