Calilo is a 5-star luxury resort located in a remote corner of Ios in Greece.

Located on the Greek Island of Ios, which is among the 220 islands that make up the Cyclades in the Aegean Sea, Calilo is a family-owned, luxury boutique resort that offers guests a unique experience in a beautiful setting. Surrounded by 1,000 acres of protected land with sea views, the 26-suite hotel is carved from the native rock.

Each suite features special details including hand-crafted mosaics, scalloped tiles, waves of marble, driftwood-inspired chairs, and most have private plunge pools and waterfalls. Suites offer either garden or sea views, with select suites offering beach access.

Calilo is also home to a three-level spa and fitness center with three swimming pools (one indoor and two outdoor) that overlook Papas Beach. The gym occupies the first two floors and includes personal saunas, as well as expansive space for fitness classes and meditation.

On the third floor, the Calilo Spa is centered around water’s natural calming energy. Its six treatment rooms have waterfalls, and some have suspended massage beds above a pool of water for an ultra-relaxing experience. The spa’s treatments incorporate traditional Greek products as well as local ingredients such as honey from the property’s beehives and olive oil from nearby olive trees.
