The Spa by Joanna Vargas is located within the historic Sunset Tower Hotel in West Hollywood, and provides cutting-edge technologies, modernizing facials, and body treatments for long-lasting results. Her second location, Joanna Vargas Salon in New York City, is located directly across from the New York Public Library at Bryant Park, overlooking everything from the 12th floor of a historic office building. The spa has seven private treatment rooms that feature fine art from clients and Vargas’ personal collection.

We talked to Vargas, who shared more info about her two spas, favorite treatments and amenities, and more:

Why You’ll Love It: I think people initially fall in love with its beauty and luxurious rooms, but ultimately I think people love the treatments and my staff.

Key Features: Both salons offer cutting-edge, high-tech facials and body treatments, as well as my Joanna Vargas Skincare line. In both the New York and LA locations, my patented RevitaLight Bed is available for clients to receive full-body LED Light therapy.

In LA, each room feature en-suite soaking tubs, showers, and bathrooms to make it a truly private experience from beginning to end. We have valet parking because we are located at the Sunset Tower, and room service is available 24 hours a day.

In NYC, we have a private elevator to the space and multiple light bed rooms so everyone can get a light treatment after every facial. Each room also has 15-foot floor-to-ceiling arched windows featuring views overlooking the New York Public Library and Bryant Park.

Snacks Served: In NY, tea and water. In LA, in addition to the beverages, we offer the full room-service menu from the hotel for guests who are spending more time.

Bonus: First-time guests at both locations are offered a complimentary light bed during their first visit. In NY, first-time guests are also offered a complimentary Body Booster treatment. In LA, first-time guests are offered a complimentary Happy Feet Massage.

Insider’s Tip: If you’re not getting regular facials, you should do a peel at home. Many of the top dermatologists offer them in their lines, and they help restore your glow and resurface the skin.

Unique Treatment: The Triple Crown Facial is an awesome treatment to get before an event. It’s favored by my celebrity clients before a shoot or the red carpet. I use a mild electric current to drain puffiness, tone muscle, and tighten skin. It will redefine your features from the first treatment! There is no downtime and people love the instant effect—the long-term effects are cumulative. Since I designed this treatment myself, it’s only available in my salon.

Splurge Treatment: The Double Happiness Treatment is a full-body microdermabrasion, cleanse, and a full-body oxygen treatment. The treatment resurfaces and exfoliates the skin, reduces fine lines and sun damage, while hydrating and building collagen. It’s the definition of luxury.
