SpaHalekulani, Honolulu
Imagine the sweet scent of tropical flowers and the soothing sound of ocean waves as you sip on a fruity Sunset Martini, all while enjoying an unobstructed view of Hawaii's Diamond Head. With beautiful views, delicious cuisine and luxurious accommodations, Halekulani in Waikiki offers a magical Hawaiian experience. It’s the perfect hotel for honeymooners or those looking to destress with a relaxing beach vacation.
The award-winning SpaHalekulani combines authentically crafted Polynesian therapeutic rituals with some of best products available. We talk to spa director Kamala to get an insider’s look at the Honolulu spa.
Why You’ll Love It: What guests love most about SpaHalekulani is the intuitive care they receive from our highly skilled and experienced staff. Guests also appreciate the intimacy of our ‘suite-style’ treatment rooms, where we provide traditional services unique to the Pacific, including the Samoan-inspired Nonu, the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi, signature Ho’olele, and Tahitian-inspired Taurumi massages, to name a few. Therapists can also customize a massage or facial based on the individual needs and preferences of each guest.
Key Features: Our facility features seven relaxation suites—including two couples suites, steam showers, therapy beds, private lockers, restroom facilities, as well as indoor and outdoor relaxation areas where post-treatment refreshments are served. The full-service salon also offers waterless nail services in Zero Gravity chairs. The salon features elite and natural nail and hair products. We also have a spa boutique offering superior products that reflect our commitment to well-being and a restorative approach to the mind, body and spirit.
Bonus: Halekulani is proud to be a Green Circle Salon, which means we are part of a truly sustainable organization that repurposes, recycles and captures salon and spa waste. We are the first and only spa in Hawaii to be recognized by Green Circle Salons as one of the greenest salons in the world.
Insider’s Tip: SpaHalekulani now offers Living Well lectures where guests and residents learn during hour-long classes how to better themselves by eating well and establishing healthy habits. These lectures are offered on a monthly basis. They are complimentary for Halekulani guests and $25 per session for non-hotel guests.
Featured Snacks: Our spa tea blend, green tea with pineapple, is served hot or iced with mochi ice cream (a local favorite). We also provide an assortment of dried fruits, seeds and nuts at the Tea & Snack bar.
Splurge Treatment: Our Romance Remembered Package is an intimate journey with your loved one designed to spark some romance. It begins with our signature Spa Salutation, followed by a soak in our traditional Furo, a couples massage and custom facials. Afterwards, couples head out to our lanai to savor champagne and delectable delights prepared by acclaimed Halekulani chefs before returning for manicures and pedicures. The 5.5-hour experience is offered at $1,300 and is a luxurious way for couples to reconnect.
Unique Treatment: SpaHalekulani just introduced its new Cabana & Surf menu featuring Sarga Bodywork. The Garden Cabana will be offering services to rejuvenate the body and mind, including pre-and post-sun treatments, hand and foot treatments, and massages designed for the surfer of all levels to ease muscular tension and promote relaxation. SpaHalekulani is the only hotel spa in Hawaii to introduce Sarga Bodywork, a dynamic form of barefoot massage, combining method and design.
Featured Brands: JK7 Natural Skin Care products by Dr. Jurgen Klein are featured at the spa. This luxurious skin care line is 100 percent chemical free and bottled here on the North Shore of Oahu. They are anti-oxidant rich, anti-aging and contain longevity boosting extracts unique to JK7 products. The Halekulani Facial incorporates products by Pure Mana made on the Big Island. Scientific Organics, Elemental Herbology, and our very own SpaHalekuklani products are also available for guests to enjoy.
