Located along the Capital’s revitalized Southwest Waterfront, The Spa at Mandarin Oriental Washington DC provides a zen-like ambiance and oasis for holistic therapy. The spa is filled with warm, neutral colors to convey the feeling of the Earth and Sun for serenity and relaxation. Spa Director Sonie Boyce shares insider tips and recommendations for the luxurious spa.

Why You’ll Love It: What I love the most are the talented therapists, they are the ones who really make the entire spa experience.

Splurge: Oriental Harmony is an hour and 50-minute treatment that inspires a harmony of the senses. It begins with a soothing foot bath, followed by two therapists working together in time and movement while providing a warm scrub and relaxing massage. The treatment concludes with a simultaneous head and foot massage, leaving the entire body energized.

Most Unique Treatment: The Chakra Rebalance Treatment is our most unique (and my favorite) experience. The treatment features one hour and 50 minutes of a massage and meditative experience. Accompanying the massage is exclusive use of the Meditative Nap Experience on the Gharieni Spa Wave Table. Combining gentle sound waves with a highly efficient vibration massage system, the Spa Wave Table aligns the bodies chakras for deep relaxation. The treatment addresses stress reduction, vibroacoustic frequency healing, chakra balancing and sleep enhancement.
