Valmont Makes Updates to L'Elixir des Glaciers' Essence of Bees Collection
Leading Swiss cellular cosmetics brand Valmont recently announced several updates to its most prestigious skincare range: the Essence of Bees collection from L'Elixir des Glaciers. The collection, which debuts on September 12, 2023 and features mindfully sourced ingredients from the hive, pays homage to honeybees and is dedicated to protecting them while preserving biodiversity. Updates to the collection include new formulations, packaging, and philanthropic give back initiatives that expand on the brand’s current efforts.

Launched in 2017, the Essence of Bees collection includes three revolutionary products that enhance beauty and well-being while transforming and nourishing dry skin. Key ingredients include honey, propolis, and royal jelly that have been combined through a patented, Ecocert-certified lipophilic extraction process that does not generate any pollution and preserves the beneficial properties of the ingredients while optimizing effectiveness and bioavailability.
The 2023 Essence of Bees collection includes:
Huile Majestueuse ($550): A nourishing face oil containing 97% natural ingredients that melds with the skin to release a multitude of omegas and key ingredients from the hive. As a result, skin is nourished, restored, more supple, and visibly radiant. The product now comes in a generous 30-ml format designed for daily use along with a precise self-dosing pipette to withdraw the perfect amount of product.
Crème de Masque Majestueuse ($550): This unique beauty balm can be used as a daily cream or occasional mask, and is enhanced for 2023 with a new multi-purpose way of use, revealing marvelously soft, smooth and regenerated skin.
Sérum Majestueux Vos Yeux ($460): This light, powerful and fast-penetrating eye serum tones and rejuvenates the eye area by combating sagging eyelids. For 2023, it has been reinvented with a new satin texture and dispensed from a redesigned and elegant bottle.
Coffret Crème de Masque Majestueuse Artistic Limited Edition gift set ($3,100): Only 70 of these exclusive artistic cases that pay homage to the beauty of the beehives were made and include all three of the products. The case is made from eco-designed materials and features a stunning marquetry honeycomb structure adorned with brass and ebony. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to l'Elixir des Glaciers partner associations.
Since launching Essence of Bees, Valmont has partnered with suppliers and funded the preservation of beehives. CEO Sophie Vann Guillon’s encounter with Stéphanie Vuadens, a Geneva-based beekeeper and head of the Arche des Abeilles Foundation, led to a unique partnership that was formed with the distinct purpose of sustainably protecting Switzerland’s honeybees by offering foundational support for 20 hives. The treasures harvested from these colonies were then incorporated into the original Essence of Bees collection.
“With Essence of Bees, I am offering treasures from our Swiss beehives to nourish even the driest skins,” says Sophie Vann Guillon, CEO of Valmont Cosmetics and l’Elixir des Glacier. “Fully aware of the need to preserve honeybees’ fragile ecosystem, today our historic commitment to protecting our foraging friends extends across borders.”

To celebrate the collection’s evolution, Valmont is also offering a new facial experience called The Masterpiece Treatment that rejuvenates the face, neck, and hands. It incorporates the updated Essence of Bees products that are applied to the skin utilizing their signature facial techniques. This treatment combines massages, masks, and Valmont's technical expertise to bring out one’s inner beauty and achieve profound rejuvenation. It is offered at Valmont Spa locations as well as at select spa partners around the world.
