Recently the spa added a new signature treatment called Enchanted Sleep to its menu that realigns circadian rhythms and encourages deep, peaceful sleep. It begins with an inhalation ritual to increase oxygenation, followed by a light massage with herbal sleep remedies including vetiver, sandalwood, and chamomile.
For added rejuvenation, guests may utilize add-on services such as hot stones, Keratin Infusion Boots, and/or the Zents CBD Treatment. The Enchanted Sleep offering rounds out the experience with a cup of chamomile tea for guests to enjoy.

“As a Waldorf Astoria hotel, we pride ourselves on a restful night’s sleep,” says Taniesha Boursiquot, Director of Spa and Wellness at Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead. “Adding this sleeping service was vital for any form of guest that walks through our doors. This treatment can be done any time of day. Science has proven that a good nap can improve our performance, reaction time, memory and our mood.”
Upon arrival, guests are greeted with a warm cup of vanilla and chamomile tea to invoke calm and relaxation. Then they are walked into an intentionally set warm room that provides a welcoming sense of comfort.
“Once you are on our warm table, be prepared for a relaxing journey of gentle lavender oil applied in an ebb and flow motion,” says Boursiquot. “The pressure is firm and consistent, activating your parasympathetic nervous system. The Enchanted Sleep lullabies you into a deep, relaxing sleep for 70 minutes.”

For five minutes, the therapist gently awakens guests with instructed breathing that signals to the body it is time gradually to adjust their circadian rhythm. Boursiquot explains that the Enchanted Sleep experience activates the parasympathetic nervous system, which is responsible for conserving energy and slows down the heart rate, breathing, opens the blood vessels and allows one to take those slow and calm breaths.
“That alone has great benefits for the body,” says Boursiquot. “Of course, we can adjust our scheduling; we can add meditation or yoga, etc. However, the Enchanted Sleep is a 75-minute experience that rocks you in and out of sleep, or should I say, a much needed hour-plus of rest. This treatment was thoroughly created; each touch, motion, scent, and temperature was all crafted to insinuate the guest into a deep restoring sleep."
“More and more people are understanding the importance of ‘rest,’ but even more so ‘intentional rest,’” adds Boursiquot. “There are products lining up to enhance sleep: melatonin baths, tinctures, bedroom sprays, CBD and more. However, massage has always been a great way to restore the body, improve circulation, release pressure, etc. At the Waldorf Astoria Spa, we embrace and enhance your sleep, as we understand how it is also a form of wellness.”
