New year. New resolutions. New skin care.

Each new year marks a new beginning and a chance to reflect on the past and look forward to the future. Over the last decade, I left my twenties behind and have officially entered my mid-thirties. With that, I have a newfound appreciation for quality skincare products that are going to help me look and feel like the best version of myself.  At the end of 2019, I was struggling with my skin and looking for something that would change my skin and my life. Okay, I’m a bit dramatic, I know. But seriously, my complexion needed a boost. And then, the Bold & Bare mask and elixir landed on my doorstep.

Bold & Bare Purity Mask ($55)

Bold & Bare Purity Mask is a clay mask that smoothes away dullness and cleans pores, giving you fresh and glowing skin.

Bold & Bare Purity Mask is a clay mask that smoothes away dullness and cleans pores, giving you fresh and glowing skin.

The Purity Mask is by far the best clay mask I have ever used. A plant-boosted clay mask, it’s made to detox skin and increase brightness and glow. And Let me tell you, it does just that. 100% vegan and cruelty-free, and formulated with ingredients including kaolin clay, witch hazel, kelp extract, turmeric, kakadu plum, and peony flowers, the mask works to smooth dullness, clear pores, and give your skin an overall boost like no other product. I honestly noticed a difference after one use. Each time I use it, my skin looks better and brighter. For reference, I have combination/sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts. When combined with the elixir, my skin has never looked better. Not a breakout in sight!

Bold & Bare Elixir ($70)

Bold & Bare Elixir is a multitasking beauty serum with shine-enhancing properties that nourish, hydrate, and give your complexion a healthy glow.

Bold & Bare Elixir is a multitasking beauty serum with shine-enhancing properties that nourish, hydrate, and give your complexion a healthy glow.

This multitasking beauty serum is made to nourish and hydrate the skin. I have always been a fan of hydrating serums, but being prone to breakouts, I’ve had a hard time finding one that worked for me. Bold & Bare Elixir is my new holy grail. Hyaluronic acid, peptides, peony extract, avocado oil, and rose hip extract (to name a few key ingredients) come together to create the serum of my dreams. I’ve gotten SO many compliments on my skin, which was never the norm. I’m a makeup junkie at heart, but I have recently ditched my beloved foundation(s) for a tinted moisturizer—my skin has been that good. The formula is super lightweight and not the least bit greasy. Tip: if you’re not ready to ditch your foundation completely, mix some serum in with it for added glow.

While what’s in the products is important, it’s important to note what’s not. Both the serum and the mask are made WITHOUT: parabens, silicones, sulfates, pthlatates, mineral oil, petrolatum, artificial colors, and fragrance. Bold & Bare meets the EU standard without the use of 1300+ products that are banned for cosmetic use.

What I love even more than their amazing products is what they stand for. With a focus on natural, non-toxic, results-driven products, there is also an emphasis on sustainability. Both the elixir and mask come in recyclable glass packaging. Bold & Bare wants to redefine beauty on their own terms and empower women through their skincare routine. It makes my heart happy. I believe that beauty has no bounds and means something different to everyone. Everyone wants to feel comfortable and beautiful in their own skin. Bold & Bare brings you one step closer, one bottle of magic elixir at the time. Their products can be found at boldbare.com. Happy 2020! May the new year be filled with health, happiness, and lots of skin care!
