When was Skin Therapy by Eden founded?
Skin Therapy by Eden was founded about a year ago in September 2022.
What inspired the creation of the brand?
My aesthetics career began 16 years ago in West Hollywood. Launching a solo career felt far-fetched at that time since I was busy raising small children and happily working in a nurturing environment. I was growing professionally and building quite a large and loyal client base. I didn’t have much time to think about my needs during those initial 10 years except there was a pivotal moment in my career that pushed me out of my comfort zone. I had two hard learning lessons with two complicated business partnerships, plus add in a pandemic to make matters worse.
But the silver lining is that with setbacks there is a positive with tough learning lessons. I learned exactly what was important to me and how to start a business. I needed to listen to my inner voice and trust my gut. I wanted to provide a customized spa experience on practiced and proven treatments from my years of experience.
I did not want a medspa mill with gimmicks and minimal time allocated per person. It was simple. I always want to place the clients interest first and never compromise my integrity, with reasonable protocols in place. I shifted into high gear, fighting for what was important to me and with passion and determination launched Skin Therapy by Eden.
Do you offer a signature treatment?
I do not offer a signature treatment, I offer a wide variety of treatments that vary from Botox, dermal fillers, lasers, micro-needling etc., that are tailored to the individual client’s needs.
What’s your favorite treatment?
All of them! It’s like asking me which is my favorite child!
What’s your most popular treatment?
Dysport/Botox hands down.
What products do you use and retail at your spa?
I sell a variety of products. Epicutis, Skin Better, Skin Medica, PCA, Elta MD, UPNEEQ, and Latisse.
Epicutis is a favorite new line that I am thrilled to carry. It is a clean, science-based medical grade skincare line that I can use in treatments and apply after all treatments to help calm inflamed skin. Epicutis has a face mask that I also send home with clients to apply to irritated skin. I love science-backed treatments that have proven efficacy and immediate results.
Future plans for the brand?
My plan for my business is growth. Growing my client base, growing my services, growing my team, and eventually expanding into additional locations.
Who inspires you?
There are a number of female entrepreneurs that I am privileged to have as clients that I have looked up to over the years. They have shared their stories with me and I have learned from them and taken strength from their experiences. They have also unconditionally supported me through my highest highs and lowest lows.
Secret to success?
With such a saturated industry I believe the secret to my success is maintaining a positive and trusting relationship with my clients. I have developed authentic personal relationships and to this point have built my client base solely on a referral basis. Besides the obvious of delivering excellent results with fair ethical business practices, at the end of the day the client remembers how you made them feel.
Beauty secrets?
My beauty secret is that I take a comprehensive approach to skin care. My clients are happiest when their anti-aging needs are met with injections, lasers/in-house services, and medical grade products for home use. They can’t fulfill their skin needs with just one modality. I like to vary the in-office skin services rotating them like one would in a “Crossfit” exercise routine. This is why when I was asked my favorite treatment, I didn’t have an answer because I brought all of my favorite services. Lastly, consistency is key, scheduling services per treatment recommendations.
Wellness tips?
Hydrate internally and topically, skin protection with SPF and protective wear, healthy diet, exercise, and regular skin care maintenance at Skin Therapy by Eden.
Best advice?
Trust your gut and stay true to yourself.
Favorite way to relax?
Indulging in guilty pleasures such as mindless TV and time for self-care, which includes all the things we love such as skin care/massages/nails, and most importantly, quality family time unplugged!
