Spa Profile: The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Washington D.C.
We interviewed Monette Brown, Regional Spa Director at The Spa at The Wharf, who shared more details about the spa’s amenities, treatments to try, insider tips, and more.
Why You’ll Love It: We have one of the best locations on the Wharf. Aside from massage and facial treatments that are fully customizable to a guest's preference, our relaxation room, The Oasis Lounge, has the most stunning view of the pier.
Key Features: The Spa at The Wharf has separate ladies and gentlemen’s changing rooms featuring steam showers. The Oasis Lounge features chaise lounge chairs perfect for relaxing and enjoying the stunning views, or to read and decompress with a warm wellness beverage.
Snacks Served: We offer trail mix, dried fruit, fruit-infused water, and a variety of teas.
Bonus: Select services include a complimentary beverage, such as the Luxe Pedicure designed as a foot treatment and foot facial all-in-one.
Unique Treatment: We recently introduced the Luxe Pedicure. It's a 60-minute treatment and facial for your feet. This service features DMV made, Skincando, and includes a CBD soak, Blue Lavender Gel Cleanser, Strawberry Sugar Scrub, Honey Mask, and Combat Ready Balm skin salve. This service focuses on restoration of callused, cracked, and dry feet.
Splurge Treatment: If you're looking to fully embrace the spa experience, I recommend a 90-minute custom massage with heated stones and a foot exfoliating treatment. Heated stone massages increase blood flow and circulation allows the muscles to release tension, while the foot exfoliating treatment takes care of tired and sore feet. For an extra dose of pampering, add on a 50-minute custom facial with hydrating facial mask to rejuvenate fatigue and dull skin.
Insider’s Favorite: Our massage and facial treatments are fully customizable. Instead of choosing a service on a static menu, we allow you to connect with your service provider and create mutual goals that meet your needs.
Featured Products: Our signature product line is Privai, a results-driven and botanical based line made in the Asheville, NC.
