Our latest Beauty Boss is Dee Seymour, CEO & Co-Founder of pH-D Feminine Health— a doctor-recommended brand of boric acid feminine health products.
Frustrated by the lack of effective and accessible feminine health products on the market, Seymour used her years of pharmaceutical industry experience to ultimately launch an extensive line of personal care products for women that are formulated with boric acid and designed to help a variety of women’s health issues.
The brand became known for its best-selling Boric Acid Suppositories, which promote vaginal health and help control dryness, discomfort, and odor. The line has expanded to include cleansers, probiotics, lubricants and moisturizers, in addition to products for menopause and brain health.
We chatted with Seymour, who shared the inspiration behind the brand, secrets for success, wellness tips, and much more.
When was pH-D Feminine Health founded and what does the name mean?
pH-D Feminine Health was founded in 2014 back when we became the first feminine health brand to bring boric acid suppositories to market. The name “pH-D” was inspired by the science of feminine health and also a playful reflection of my own name, “Dee.” Beyond that, it represents intelligence and empowerment: a reminder that women should be informed and confident about their health and be smart about their bodies, much like earning a Ph.D. in self-care.
What inspired the creation of the brand?
I was frustrated by the lack of accessible, clinically sound solutions for feminine health and decided to use my decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry to create products for women, by women. What started as a personal search for an effective, science-backed solution became a mission to improve the lives of women. Since our founding in 2014, pH-D Feminine Health has empowered millions of women with research-backed solutions. We continue to challenge outdated stigmas and give women the confidence to prioritize their well-being.

Does pH-D Feminine Health have a hero product?
Our hero product is our best-selling Boric Acid Suppositories. I discovered firsthand how effective boric acid suppositories can be and later learned that my grandmother and great-grandmother had relied on this same trusted ingredient for decades. That legacy inspired me to bring them to market, knowing they would be a game-changer for women’s health.
For too long, women had silently struggled with recurrent feminine issues and limited solutions. Future plans for the brand?

Who inspires you?
My dear friend Kimmye Bohannon. She has been an entrepreneur and trailblazer in the wellness space for two decades. She is a Board-Certified Holistic Health Coach and offers real world, practical advice for busy women on the go on how to make small changes in your routines to live a better, healthier life.
Secret to success?
Resilience has been my greatest superpower. Entrepreneurship certainly isn’t a straight path. It’s a series of setbacks, lessons, and breakthroughs and oftentimes there are more lows than highs. I’ve learned to stay focused on my “why,” which is helping women live healthier, more confident lives. I’ve also learned to surround myself with the right people and to keep going when it would be easier to quit and to live by my motto of “faith over fear.”

Beauty secrets?
I love to spend time in my infrared sauna. It’s perfect for decompressing and it also has so many benefits such as improving circulation, reducing inflammation, and triggering endorphin release.
Wellness tips?
Con-CRET Creatine HCl has been a game-changer for me! This is the most important supplement for my brain, my immune system, and my lean muscle mass. This form of creatine is the most bioavailable and I don't get side effects such as water retention and bloat like with other creatines.
Best advice?
Stop comparing yourself to others. It’s one of the hardest lessons to learn, especially in a world where everyone’s highlight reel is on display. But comparison steals your peace and blinds you to your own gifts. The truth is that the world doesn’t need another version of someone else; it needs the gifts, talents, and perspective that are uniquely yours.
How do you like to relax?
I love spending quality time with my friends and family. This includes making memories over meals, travel, and just hanging out sharing laughs.
