If you’ve ever daydreamed about traveling back in time to another time period, the iconic Melvyn’s at The Ingleside Estate in Palm Springs is celebrating its 50th anniversary in a special way.

Through Nov. 14, the upscale eatery is offering a Dining Through the Decades series that invites guests to step back in time with a rotating prix fixe menu inspired by the flavors, favorites, and table-side traditions that defined each era.
Each week offers a unique taste of Palm Springs’ history and is a toast to timeless glamour and unforgettable dining. In addition, on Nov. 15 Melvyn’s is hosting a golden-era evening celebration that includes an open bar with classic cocktails, passed bites, live music, vintage Hollywood entertainment, and more. These are the Dining Through the Decades offerings for each week:
1975–1985 | Oct. 13-19
Relive the glamour of Melvyn’s early years with French Onion Soup crowned with bubbling gruyère, classic Steak Diane, and indulgent Bananas Melvyn flambéed table-side.
1985–1995 | Oct. 20-26
The bold flavors of the ‘80s return with Lobster Bisque enriched with sherry, Chicken Kiev served with parmesan broccolini, and a showstopping Baked Alaska for dessert.
1995–2005 | Oct. 27–Nov. 2
A new era of adventurous dining arrives with Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna, Seared Duck Breast with sundried tomato polenta, and the decadence of a Molten Lava Cake.
2005–2015 | Nov. 3-7
Modern classics take center stage, think Crispy Pork Belly with apple purée, Veal Osso Bucco with smoked paprika jus, and a refreshing Wild Berry Neapolitan to finish.
2015–2025 | Nov. 8-14
Celebrate the last decade of decadence with refined favorites like Tuna Tartare with avocado and yuzu, Roasted Bone Marrow with oxtail jam, and Seared Halibut in acqua pazza.
