If you’re ready to plan your next spa getaway but want to go somewhere that offers plenty of space and privacy, there are quite a few unique destinations to choose from, depending on the type of experience you’re looking for.
Escape to Remote Destinations With These Unique Travel Experiences
From luxurious spa suites that have their own saunas and steam showers to an outdoor spa village surrounded by the sounds and sights of nature, here are three unique wellness destinations that provide the utmost relaxation and solitude so you can enjoyed the ultimate socially distance spa vacation.
1. Spa Suites: An In-Room Retreat on The Cape
Chatham Bars Inn is one of Cape Cod’s most beloved and storied destinations for family vacations, romantic hideaways, and wellness getaways. The Spa at Chatham Bars Inn offers the finest in luxury treatments and amenities, including an outdoor relaxation pool, hot tub, and oversized treatment rooms. Spa experts incorporate seasonal ingredients from the on-property 8-acre farm into the inn's extensive menu and developed an exclusive sugar polish made with cranberry, lemongrass, and honey.
Located above The Spa at Chatham Bars Inn, the inn offers 12 adults-only Spa Suites designed with luxury, relaxation, and pampering in mind. These suites have either one king or two queen size beds, and are appointed with oversized hydrotherapy tubs, saunas, steam showers, and fireplaces. Guests can enjoy private in-room massages and body care treatments upon request. This mini-retreat is complete with a personal yoga mat and collection of curated wellness books to encourage and inspire. During the summer months, private outdoor cabanas at The Spa are also available for a variety of signature treatments.
2. Spa Town: An Outdoor Spa Under Canvas
The Resort at Paws Up, Montana's premier luxury ranch resort, is home to one of the country's only outdoor spas: Spa Town. Discretely nestled on the edge of an expansive meadow in the waving shade of soaring pines, Spa Town is a colony of pristine white tents stitched together by a wooden boardwalk, situated just past an authentic babbling brook and nestled among towering pines. The welcome tents feature full baths and showers, while individual treatment tents are fashioned with a sink, a heated massage table, and a view of the meadows spotted with horses.
A traditional “spa” soundtrack isn’t required because the brook, chirping birds, and rustle of the wind in the trees above are played daily by Mother Nature herself. Paws Up gives new meaning to the term “getting lost” in the woods. In the world of post-covid travel, spa services will continue to provide full sanitation and linen change between guests. Any other changes as recommended through The Missoula County Health Department will be closely adhered, and of course, personal requests for modifications in service are welcomed.
3. Spa Village: A Caribbean Oasis Awaits
Located in St. Lucia’s Marigot Bay—described as “the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean” by novelist James A Michener—the Marigot Bay Resort & Marina is a luxury, all-suite getaway in the heart of St. Lucia. The resort’s 124 suites feature spacious balconies and extensive views of the bay or lush tropical gardens.
Marigot Bay Resort’s Spa Village Launches New Treatments Featuring VOYA Skin Care
Nestled in lush tropical foliage at Marigot Bay Resort, guests can find their intimate island hideaway at the world-class Spa Village. Inspired by St Lucia’s natural environment, the spa utilizes organic VOYA products and indigenous ingredients in innovative rituals based on the phases of the moon and speaking to the island’s Amerindian heritage. The Spa Village also features three couple’s treatment rooms, a steam room, sauna, outdoor jacuzzi, fitness center, and a private treehouse.
