I was recently invited to Smashbox Studios in Los Angeles to learn more about Smashbox Cosmetics’ newest foundation, Always On Skin-Balancing Foundation. Not only did we get to play with a ton of Smashbox products, but we got to meet the founder of Smashbox, Davis Factor, AND have our makeup done by Global Pro Lead Artist, Lori Taylor Davis. **pinch me**

A little history lesson: Davis Factor is the son of Max Factor, who basically created makeup as we know it. Not only is Davis the founder of Smashbox, he is a world-renowned photographer who has photographed some of the most famous faces in the world.

Smashbox was created with photography in mind, and made to be long lasting and beautiful in photographs. Oh wait, I almost left out the best part: Davis took our pictures. Pinch me moment!

The point of all this is not only to describe how giddy I was to be in the presence of makeup royalty. It’s to let you know that I was also introduced to my new favorite foundation. #holygrail
I just turned 40, so I would have what people might describe as “mature” skin. I tend to get oily, but also have dry patches which foundation loves to cling to. It’s like this foundation was made for me. It is oil-controlling and hydrating at the same time. I truly LOVE this foundation.
